The story is set in rural Australia in the nineteenth century. It is a murder mystery, about a Polish bushranger.
This short story was also performed as a theatre piece, staged in Wagga Wagga, in connection with the city's Space Program. It also appeared as a radio play on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Radio National program in October 2006.
