  • Author's Introduction: ...The psalms in this book are a tiny, timid attempt to take God's Australia seriously in geographic terms. But they fail abysmally in historical terms because, to my shame, I am largely ignorant of the Aboriginal heritage....In this collection, in addition to my original psalms, there are a number of transpositions of biblical psalms. These are not translations. By 'transpositions' I mean that the setting is transposed from Israel to Australia, and from BC to AD times...
