Title page has spelling error 'Autralian' for first word of title.

The word 'novelli' refers to a short story, but the work is actually a novel ('romaani').

Dedication:

This story is dedicated to the immigrant farmers in Australia. To those who with their own hands cleared a untouched forest to a farm in the years that have disappeared into the past. To those who never will be mentioned in the history of Australia but who have made so many things to develop (=improve) their home site (= the village where they live). The names I use here have no connection to any real person. I fabricated them for this book. Same is with some of the names of the towns and places. (Translated by Arto Bergman.)
