AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Traces the development of David Critchley's project to issue a new edition of the 1967 novel Picnic at Hanging Rock by Joan Lindsay and his discovery of the original rushes for the 1975 film adaptation. Also refers to Critchley's contact with many of the cast and crew from the film during the preparation of his new edition of the novel.
