AbstractHistoryArchive Description
This collection of Australian multicultural poetry contains some 88 short bilingual poems, each dated individually, extending from the mid 1960s to 2001. The general theme is of everday encounters and small details which contribute to the poet's observation, comprehending and progressive understanding of Australian secular life, culture and humanistic values. There is frequent use of "alliteration, consonance and word games which usually refer to biblical or ecclesiastical texts".
