This work was developed from a 1986 television serial. Amy's attempt to take her cat on a holiday is foiled, but Liz is able to smuggle her dog into the caravan park. (The Oxford Companion to Australian Children's Literature ed. Stella Lees and Pam MacIntyre (1993): 447).
