  • Translation of : Vikna vykhodyat na zakhid (Windows Facing Westward) and Taka dovha nich (A Night So Long). The first was originally published in Ukrainian in 1986 in the journal Suchasnist. The second was originally published in Ukrainian in 1984 in Suchasnist, and a revised text in Russian, published in the USA in 1985, as Sobach'i radosti (A Dog's Delights).
