Censorship notes:
The title was released by the Book Censorship Board on 15.2.1936 on the basis of a Chatto and Windus edition. When referring the book in September 1935, Customs Comptroller-General in his letter to the board noted that the title had been banned by Customs for 'a number of years' in 'cheap editions'. The ban was 'not against expensive sets imported for genuine literary purposes. This discrimination has been found difficult in practice, however, as it is not easy to define what is a cheap edition.'
