AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'"Take it cautiously," Croft's controller said. "If it doesn't look right pull out." But the British agent was to find that he didn't have that option.

In a desolate region of China, a People's Liberation Army convoy awaits a signal. For a mysterious group of wealthy Chinese exiles, the convoy is to be the final act in a conspiracy spanning thirty years.

'Parachuted into North Korea, Croft is drawn into a dangerous web of events, as he and a Chinese woman spy trek across mountains in search of a valley.

'Characters from old wars emerge from the shadows; his suspicions aroused, a P.L.A. intelligence officer works against time, as his crayon tracks the convoy across the map, and this hard-edged story of action and intrigue climaxes in : Dragon Strike. (Publication abstract)
