Dedication: This book is dedicated to the memory of the late Duncan Monroe, Esq., formerly of Argentina, as a small tribute to a great man gone where we all must go. Stay-at-home Britons knew little of him or of his splendid work, for he scorned the limelight, but out in that semi sub-tropical land where he lived his life and 'worked', he did more than any one man to make the term 'Britons' synonymous with truth, honesty and courageous fair dealing. He was one of the nation's far-flung bulwarks whose example will live for ages.
