Dedication:
TO MY PARENTS
These lines of verse I dedicate
In love profoundly delicate,
Because you sent me on life's way,
Free of the things that lead astray,
Or numb the mind and suffocate
Pulpit and pew.
Not for the things you taught as great,
But that you did not consecrate
My mind to mystic disarray
In things I'd later have to slay...
Love and affection permeate
My verse to you.
