BiographyHistory

Born in the United Kingdom, Neil Cladingboel moved to Australia in 1961, spending his early childhood in Woomera, South Australia. After completing his schooling Melbourne he found employment in the hospitality and later the real estate industries. For many years he also dabbled in creative writing and contemporary poetry, leading to the publication in 2000 of his first novel, Reflections - book one of The Erebus Equilibrium series. It was followed the same year by books two and three - The Anvil Amulet and Wraith Tide. Since then he has published Tale Spin (2001), a collection of short fiction, and Bortag’s Curse (2005), a companion novel to the original trilogy. The The Erebus Equilibrium trilogy was also published in one volume in (2002). Cladingboel's short fiction has been published in Antipodean SF and in numerous web sites and e-zines, most notably at SFFWorld.com.

A member of the Australian Horror Writers Association, Cladingboel is also founder of Equilibrium Books, and editor of FlashSpec Anthology, in which his short fiction also appears. He resides in Mandurah, south of Perth, Western Australia.
