BiographyHistory

The author of award-winning science fiction, Vonda N. McIntyre gained prominence when her short fiction work, 'Of Mist, and Grass, and Sand', won the 1974 Nebula Award for Best Novelette. Writing novels, novellas and short stories, her extensive body of work includes five Star Trek novels (three of which were adaptations of film screenplays) and the 1994 novel, The Crystal Star, which contributed to the Star Wars canon of literature.

Seattle-based, McIntyre visited Australia for six weeks in 1977. During that period she taught at the Australian Science Fiction Writers workshop held at Monash Univeristy, Melbourne.
