The second-born of twins, Kingsley Krix suffers cerebral palsy. However, he has maintained, with help, an independent lifestyle in Adelaide, and has worked part-time at his brothers' factory making loudspeakers.
In the Year of the Handicapped, the Loxton TAFE assisted Krix in writing his autobiography, I've Done a Lot, but Then Again, I Haven't Done Much, Have I? and set up the Kingsley Krix Benevolent fund to help handicapped people in South Australia's Riverland. A room at the TAFE is named after him
When Krix moved to Adelaide he joined a writing club and, in spite of his physical difficulties, wrote the short novel, She Holds All the Cards.
