BiographyHistory

Samar Habib grew up in Western Beirut, as a Palestinian refugee, before settling in Sydney. Habib received her doctorate from the University of Sydney, Australia, in the areas of cultural and literary studies and sexuality. In 2009 she was lecturing in the areas of Islamic Studies and English Text and Writing, in the School of Humanities and Languages at the University of Western Sydney.
