BiographyHistory

Publisher of Spanish-language books. Until the 1960s, Bruguera published mainly comics and paperback novels, but developed a prestigious literary programme in its later years. Bruguera published books both by Spanish and Latin American authors, and sold to both markets too. Bruguera closed its operations as an independent publisher in 1986.

In 2006 the Spanish media group Grupo Zeta relaunched Bruguera as a literary imprint.
