BiographyHistory

A.A. Holloway was born at Ledbury, England in 1911. He attended school first at Ledbury and then at Lowbands in Gloucestershire. He worked as a riding-school proprietor, jackeroo, and real-estate agent.

In 1941, he joined the army and served in New Guinea, New Britain, and the Solomon Islands. He was discharged in 1946.

He had stories and verse published in journals throughout Australia. His hobbies were gardening, writing and photography, horse-riding, and hiking. He visited Hamburg in 1928 and arrived in Australia that same year.
