BiographyHistory

Publisher of children's book. In 1969 the company became a division of Child Guidance; then it was onsold to Gabriel Industries in 1977 and Grosset and Dunlap in 1978; Grosset and Dunlap was acquired by Putnam Publishing in 1982. Platt and Munk is now the imprint Putnam Young Readers Group.
