Notes

  • 'Desmond Reid' was a house name used by some Amalgamated Press authors - including Bill Howard Baker, Peter Saxon, Michael Moorcock and Arthur Maclean - for some of the Sexton Blake Library titles, which centred around a fictional London detective.

Although Amalgamated Press and most of its authors were English, the character Sexton Blake came to Australia and some of his adventures were set there, including a story included in the first issue of Victor Colby's Golden Hours magazine, March 1960, which was titled 'Sexton Blake in Australia', and was mainly set in Sydney.

Only those published works which have an Australian setting or author are included in AustLit.
