BiographyHistory

Robb moved from Griffith to Sydney at the age of five on the death of her father. She was educated at Petersham and Fort Street Girls' High and later gained a Graduate Diploma in Children's Literature to further her work as a librarian. Robb became a Quaker in 1970 and was active in assisting asylum seekers. She qualified as a teacher of English as a second language after her formal retirement and worked as a volunteer at the Asylum Seekers' Centre in Surry Hills in Sydney. At the time of her death Robb was again furthering her education, this time as a distance student through the University of New England where she was studying Indonesian and Medieval History.
