BiographyHistory

Edward Pagram lives in Perth, Western Australia. He was an artist in London in the first half of the 1960s and is remembered for his drawing The Barmaid, London, 1963. In 1965 he illustrated The Eve of St. Venus by Anthony Burgess. Pagram was appointed to the Perth Technical College as a lecturer in painting and illustration, part of an influx of British-trained artists hired to cope with the expansion of the college, then the Western Australia's major art school . He continued to work as a professional artist and illustrator and retired from lecturing in 1997. Pagram developed an interest in sculpture and had an exhibition in 1997.
