BiographyHistory

Leslie Le Souef graduated in medicine from Melbourne University in 1922 and had a distinguished career as a surgeon in Western Australia. He joined the Australian Army Medical Corps. He was commissioned to raise and train the 2/7th Australian Field Ambulance for service with the 2nd A.I.F. during the Second World War.

On ist June 1941, Lieutenant-Colonel Le Souef was captured in Crete and became a prisoner of war from 1941 to 1945.
