BiographyHistory

'Filton Hebbard was born in the mining town of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia to a Scottish mother and Cornish father (both fourth generation or more so). He received secondary education in that town, and later after several years of naval service, a Bachelor of Arts in Perth.
......He has written hundreds of poems and dozens of short stories. Tipsy Marsh is his second novel to come out of his early Kalgoorlie experience; Branigan, his first novel, remains one of the most vivid tales about pioneering life in the Australian outback.'
