BiographyHistory

Lesia Bohuslavets was born in the Poltava region of the Ukraine. She received her education in Germany and Australia and began to write in 1976. She has worked as writer, broadcaster and Head for the Ukrainian program on Radio 3EA. Her work was read on Radio 3EA's Ukrainian language program between 1980 and 1990, and she has read in Melbourne and Newcastle. She has been a member of the Melbourne Literary Club, the World Association of Ukrainian Writers and the Vasyl Symonenko Literature and Arts Club. Bohuslavets has published several books and has contributed to several publications, notably Free Thought, New Horizon Almanac and On The Fence: An Anthology of Ukrainian Prose in Australia.
