BiographyHistory

Originally a farmer, Merrick Webb at the age of thirty became a Methodist (later Uniting Church) minister and served in Sydney and in rural New South Wales. On retirement his interest in writing flourished and also his interest in care of the aged. Walter Stone (q.v.), in his introduction to Wings of Power, recalled that he knew Webb at school and that he was an outstanding athlete. Webb carried the Olympic Torch in 1956.
