BiographyHistory

Marion Boyars joined the firm John Calder as a partner in 1958, although the company's name did not become Calder and Boyars until 1964. When the partnership dissolved in 1975 the publishing list was divided, with John Calder retaining the bulk of writers but Marion Boyars taking a number of significant ones to her own publishing company.
