BiographyHistory

Fergusson & Mitchell was a Melbourne printing firm active in the late nineteenth century, with premises in Collins Street, and in the 1890s, in Elizabeth Street. One of the partners, printer James Fergusson, was also a principal in the firm Fergusson and Moore.

Fergusson and Mitchell produced some significant literary and historical publications, notably The Chronicles of Early Melbourne, by 'Garryowen' (1888) and The Austral Edition of the Selected Works of Marcus Clarke (1890).
