Roderick Poole has been the director of Writers Victoria and comes from a performing arts background. Having written and performed plays in the mid to late 80s, he turned to street theatre. Initially co-founding Primary Source, which created major outdoor works that toured Australia, he then founded his own company Strange Fruit. Poole has since managed the Northcote Town Hall and the Regional Arts Victoria touring program.
