BiographyHistory

Mardi May lived in the Perth hills and taught creative writing. She also taught the Past Tense (Social History) Group at the Katharine Susannah Pritchard Writer's Centre for people wishing to write the history of their families, their localities, or special events. May wrote extensively on her region including I've Done My Share: a Celebration of the Pioneering People of the Swan Valley (1995) and Our Place in the Swan Valley: a Celebration of Multicultural Stories with Liz Marcus (2001). In 2004, she produced Caring into the Future, stories of the parents of children with disabilities.
