BiographyHistory

Educated at Yeronga State School and and Brisbane Central Technical College, Howarde Tilse was a freelance journalist. He travelled extensively throughout the East where he studied Oriental art, history and philosophy. From 1940-1945, Tilse served with the A.I.F. and R.A.A.F. The selected poems which appear in Musings of a Moresby Mouse (1944) were written while he was on active service.
