BiographyHistory

Rita Caramia was born in Alexandria, Egypt, of Italian parents. She has published in Italian and English and also acquired some knowledge of French. She has been a member of the Fellowship of Australian Writers (FAW), Victorian Branch, a member and committee member of the Society of Women Writers (Victoria) and a member of the Wednesday Writers Group with the Adult Education Association (AEA). From 1983, she read at the Highton Library, Geelong Vic., the Fringe Festival and at Society of Women Writers gatherings as well as with other poetry groups.
