BiographyHistory

Kathleen Watson was the daughter of Dr. David Watson of Torquay and Muswell Hill, London. Most of her education was in Paris and Dresden. She arrived in Australia in 1898 and married William Dearden, Eastern manager for Millar's Karri and Jarrah Company. Watson lived in Queensland around 1910-1926. Her short story, 'In the Shadows' appeared in Melba's Gift Book (1915).
