In 2012,Catherine Griff was a Ph.D. candidate at Swinburne University, investigating how producers of screen fiction conceptualize and reach their audience. She was formerly manager of policy for a decade at the then Australian Film Commission and later at Screen Australia. Prior to this Catherine worked in research at the Australian Film Television and Radio School and had undertaken multiple media-related consultancies for private companies and government.
