1 Mount Hopeless Tom Hogan , Elana Stone , 2022 single work musical theatre

'A musical tragic comedy based on the story of Burke & Wills. The two idiots are often heralded as tragic heroes, and as symbols of the Australian spirit, rather than a warning tale of exactly not what to do. The songs are joyous, the story has you slapping your forehead, saying “NO, YOU FOOLS!”, and underneath it all are some real questions about mateship, biting off more than you can chew, and rewriting history to suit your own narrative.'

— Review of Seven Big Australians : Adventures with Comic Actors Anne Pender , 2019 multi chapter work biography
'Seven Big Australians: Adventures with Comic Actors looks at the childhoods and careers of the pioneers of classic Australian comedy—Carol Raye, Barry Humphries, Noeline Brown, Max Gillies, John Clarke, Tony Sheldon, and Denise Scott. Each actor in this book, Pender explains, helped define the classic understanding of Aussie humour. Looking at Anne Pender’s previous work, she has extensive experience in interviewing personalities for biographies, and in particular, a complete biography of Barry Humphries (One Man Show: The Stages of Barry Humphries, 2010).
