The poem 'Love's Witchery', published in the New South Wales Examiner, 13 July 1842, and attributed to 'G. E.', originally appeared in the Literary News under the title 'To Chloe' and the signature 'C'.
It is possible that the title 'To Chloe' is a misprint as a poem with the same title appeared in the Literary News one week earlier. No connection between 'G. E.' and 'C.' has yet been established.
