It consists mainly of two parts. The chief of these is the Narrative of George Russell of Golf Hill, manager of the Clyde Company from the year 1836 [pp.19-397]. Subsidiary to the Narrative there is the Russellania or History of the Russells. This was compiled in the year 1841.' (Philip L. Brown's introduction, p.iii)
