BiographyHistory

A.M. Francis was a pioneer Brisbane River sugar planter. In the period 1867-1870 he represented the then agricultural electorate of East Moreton in the Queensland Legislative Assembly. In the early 1870s he was briefly editor of the Brisbane Telegraph. He was later appointed to the position of police magistrate, and served at a number of Queensland locations.
