The author is a Greek-Egyptian, who lives outside Egypt. In his work speaks of his experiences as a foreigner in the Egyptian village Ntesouk. He states that the Egyptian villagers are different to the city people, who don't hesitate to openly show their hostility towards foreigners. He finally expresses the need to go back to Ntesouk and meet with old friends.
