BiographyHistory

Christine Williams is the author of Christina Stead, a Life of Letters, as well as other biographical works, including ongoing research (including interviews) on Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. She has also published extensively on scientific and environmental issues, including articles for ECOS and Resourceful (CSIRO magazines) on issues affecting wetlands and the Eyre Peninsula.

Williams holds a Doctorate of Creative Arts from the University of Technology, Sydney (on the life of the Indian philosopher, Jiddu Krishnamurti), and a Master of Arts from the University of Sydney.

In 2008, Williams was Writer in Residence at the University of Madras. She has subsequently worked as the director of the Sydney School of Arts & Humanities.
