'On 22 May 2014 Publications Editor Richard Blair attended a Sydney Writers' Festival event at Darling Harbour titled 'The naked bookshelf: is book collecting an art or an obsession?' John Purcell, author and Booktopia head of marketing was the moderator. Panellists were: Australian children's author Kate Forsyth; French author and mathematician Jacques Roubaud; and by Skype hook-up from New York, illustrator, designer and author Maira Kalman. They shared some of their library and literary treasures.

After the session I approached Kate Forsyth, who kindly agreed to answer some questions if I sent them via her blog. She promptly replied ans also forwarded some related images.' (Publication summary)

'Among the collection of my late father, Jim Blair, (q.v.) who worked as a journalist from 1934 to the end of 1960 with the Bulletin and The Australian Women's Mirror (q.q.v.)were a number of slim books of poetry and verse, written by both well known and not so well known poets and often published by obscure publishers. Jim Blair (q.v.) either reviewed these works for The Bulletin (q.v.) or had the books given to him by the reviewer.' (p. 32)

1 8 y separately published work icon Biblionews and Australian Notes & Queries Walter Stone (editor), John Fletcher (editor), Brian Taylor (editor), Richard Blair (editor), 1966 Sydney : Book Collectors' Society of Australia , Z867087 1966 periodical (87 issues) Biblionews, the newsletter of the Book Collectors' Society of Australia, was established in April 1947 and ran until March 1964 when the long-time editor Walter Stone travelled overseas. In January 1966, the newsletter was re-issued as the quarterly Biblionews and Australian Notes & Queries, again with Stone as editor. The second series continued to publish bibliographical articles on the publications of a variety of Australian writers, but ceased production in 1972 for four years. Since 1976 it has appeared uninterrupted, and has gradually increased in size and quality. Editorial changes occurred after the deaths of Stone in 1981 and his successor John Fletcher in 1992. Brian Taylor has been the editor of Biblionews and Australian Notes and Queries since 1992.
