BiographyHistory

Outback Theatre began operating in 1989 out of the back of a ute and became a full time program of South West Arts in 1992. In the decade and a half since then Outback Theatre has engaged, educated and entertained countless young people and their communities across South West NSW.

In 2006, Outback Theatre became Outback Theatre for Young People Incorporated. Outback Theatre for Young People is assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its principal arts funding and advisory body, and by the NSW Government through Arts NSW.

The main office for OTYP is in Deniliquin in South West NSW.
