BiographyHistory

Giorgos Polites was born in Vasiliki, Leukada, Greece in 1928. He arrived in Australia in 1954 and settled in Melbourne. He has published poetry and prose in the Greek press of Melbourne and also in the periodical O Logos. He has published two books of poetry: Apla kai Laika (Melbourne, 1993) and Vadizontas pros to phthinoporo (Melbourne, 1994). He has also published a book of social - historical subject matter, titled Pikre Alitheia (Melbourne, 1997).
