Jan Howard Finder earned a masters degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chigago and subsequently a Master in College Administration from the University of Illinois. He taught at both high school and college level, including a year at a German gymnasium. He retired after spending twenty two and a half years as an Education Specialist with the Air Force and the Army. Finder's interests include Science Fiction and the writing of J. R. R. Tolkein and Arthur Upfield.
