'Set in the final days of the “Bright Young Things” era, this appealing and light novel is the story of Hugo, recently expelled from Oxford, who is then bedridden by a serious automobile accident. The book is a chronicle of his recovery, as he receives a variety of visitors, including a gossip-prone elderly aunt, a female friend who “doesn’t believe in love or parents”, and his bête noir who unfortunately also happens to be his cousin. However, the most important visitor and the key to his recovery is the enigmatic Bunny who, even though he is invalided, makes him the focal point of her plots and intrigues.' (Publication summary)
