BiographyHistory

'Streetwize Communications was a leading national not for profit social communications agency specialising in researching and communicating social issues to young people, Indigenous communities and people of a culturally and linguistically diverse background and other hard to reach groups.

Since 1984 Streetwize has been developing comics and resources on a range of issues including health, education, employment, the law and Indigenous-specific issues. The strength of the Streetwize approach lay in the ability to reach a diverse range of communities, particularly those disadvantaged in their access to mainstream sources of information.

For over 20 years Streetwize has been producing entertaining, relevant and accessible publications on issues such as the law, health, employment, drug and alcohol, violence and Indigenous specific issues. Thousands of people have accessed these and other Streetwize resources through an established national distribution network of youth, community, educational, justice and Indigenous organisations.
