BiographyHistory

Margot Luke was sent from her native Germany to England in 1939 as an eleven year old refugee. She arrived in Australia when she was twenty-two, settling in Perth seventeen years later. Luke graduated from the University of Melbourne and had a long career in the publishing industry. She also worked for the Australian Broadcasting Commision and taught German at the University of Western Australia.

Luke's short stories and literary criticism have been published in Australian journals and anthologies.
