In her introduction, Amanda Lohrey writes 'The Third Script is a remarkable collection, an unprecedented collaboration between Iranian, English and Tasmanian writers. It takes its name from the writing of Shams-E-Tabriz, Sufi scholar and beloved teacher of the poet Rumi. Loosely translated, the third script refers to an indefinable presence that comes into being when two individuals or cultures meet to evoke a third space of creative potential.'
