'This naughty comedy was based on an old Andalusian tale. It told how Frasquita, famous dancer and wife of the jolly miller, Lucas, was coveted by the local corregidor ... It was very adult and very, very funny. In fact, I rate it as Miss Lansbury's best piece of writing yet. The fact that it was a verse play was not obvious (no good verse play should be), thanks to the excellent narration of Bruce Stewart and the fine acting of Sheila Sewell (Frasquita), Lloyd Berrell (the corregidor), and Lionel Stevens (Lucas). There was also some brilliant guitar playing that in itself made the play worth hearing.'
