AbstractHistoryArchive Description
'From praying the four seasons of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, particular graces or blessings emerge. The grace of season three is sharing compassionately in the suffering of others. Similarly, being able to share joy with another is the life-giving and life-changing grace of season four. Seasons three and four are two sides of the same transformative and passionate mystery – from death and suffering emerge life and joy. This collection of poetry is a transitional narrative in so far as it speaks of the risky movement away from personal diminishment towards the joyous hope of what might be. This movement is consoling and empowering.' (Publication summary)
