The 1930 broadcast:
A radio adaptation of R.U.R. was first broadcast on Australian radio on 20 November 1930, with great fanfare. However, little information was given in newspaper articles about the authorship or production of this adaptation, suggesting that it might have been a transmission of the BBC version (first aired in 1927, and again in 1930) translated by Paul Selver and adapted for radio by Cecil Lewis.
See, for example, 'Radio Service', Dubbo Liberal and Macquarie Advocate, 7 November 1930, p.7.

The 1939 broadcast:
The author who adapted this version for radio has not been traced, but the production is Australian, and it seems likely that the script is also written by an Australian.
